When the car feels wrong and nothing obvious explains it

Handling that feels inconsistent, tires that wear weird, or a car that won't rotate the way it used to — these are chassis problems, not driver problems. Setup is where you start.

SIGNS IT'S TIME
  • The car pushes at entry when it used to rotate on throttle
  • Front or rear that feels unsettled over bumps mid-corner
  • Handling that is noticeably different between left and right sweepers
  • Ride height that wandered after a season of use without adjustment
  • You changed coilovers and the car feels worse than it did on the old springs
  • You've added power and the chassis can't use it anymore
  • Tire wear that's uneven and alignment didn't fix it

Damper adjustments and spring rates are half of it. Corner weights with driver weight in the seat are the other half. We don't skip the second part.

What's included

A full chassis setup visit covers geometry and weight distribution together — the two things that determine how the car actually behaves on circuit.

  • Four-wheel laser alignment — To target spec or a custom sheet if you have one. Caster, camber, and toe on all four corners.
  • Corner balance with driver weight — You in the seat at correct fuel load. We adjust until the cross-weight is where it needs to be for how the car is used.
  • Ride height setting — Front and rear measured to the same reference point, both sides equal. A starting point for your spring rates and damper travel.
  • Damper recommendations — Based on what the car is doing in data or driver feedback, not a starting-point number from the internet.
  • Setup sheet — Written record of every number. Brings something to the next event for comparison.
OUR PROCESS

Four steps, and you drive away knowing exactly where the car stands

01
Intake interview

What discipline, what events, what changed since the last time anyone looked. This decides where we look hardest.

02
On the lift

The full check with the car in the air and the wheels off. Every finding gets photographed as we go.

03
The report

A written report with photos, sorted into safety-critical, fix-before-the-event, and monitor.

04
Walkthrough

We go through it with you at the car. You decide what we fix, what you fix, and what waits.

★★★★★

"Found a cracked subframe mount two days before an event that three other shops missed. Fixed it and I still made the tow."

Common questions

What's the difference between alignment and chassis setup?
Alignment sets the geometry. Chassis setup sets geometry and weight distribution together, with your weight in the seat. They overlap, but a full chassis setup is more comprehensive.

How often should I do a chassis setup?
Whenever something changes — spring rates, ride height, suspension components — or at the start of a new season if the car hasn't been touched.

Do I need to be there for it?
For corner balancing, yes. We need your weight in the seat at correct fuel load. For alignment only, we can work without you.

What data helps you set the car up faster?
Video of a session with the problem, a data log if you have one, and your target spec if you have a sheet. More context means more useful output.

Book it before the tow

Inspection slots fill fastest the week before local events. Tell us the event date and we'll work backwards from it.
