MINI Repair & Service in Murfreesboro, TN
Timing chain, carbon buildup, and cooling work on the R53, R56, and F56. Supercharged and turbocharged variants both, and the chassis issues that show up as they age.
What we do most on MINIs
The jobs that come in most often, and the platforms they arrive on.
- Timing chain and tensioner (N14 · N18 — R56 · R60) — The chain that stretches before it breaks and gives you rattles, codes, and a rough-running car. We do the full kit and address the root cause of the tensioner failure at the same time.
- Carbon cleaning and intake service (N14 · N18 · B38) — Direct injection means carbon on the valves. Walnut blast and borescope before and after. The F56 comes in for this more than any other job.
- Cooling system overhaul (R53 · R56 · R60) — Expansion tanks, water pumps, and thermostats that fail in sequence. Replace as a set rather than chasing each one as it goes.
- Supercharger service (R53 · JCW) — Oil change and nose cone inspection. The S model with high miles and unknown service history needs it most.
- Suspension refresh and alignment (R53 · R56 · F56) — Control arms and ball joints that wear faster than you expect, then a four-wheel alignment to get the handling back.
- Gearbox and mount service (F56 · Countryman) — Fluid service and the mounts that wear enough to change how the car shifts.

Questions we get on every car
The same answers whatever badge is on the hood.
European is our specialty and most of the daily work, but the bays stay open for anything we can do properly. If a job needs a tool or a platform we do not have, we will tell you rather than learn on your car.
Scheduled maintenance done by an independent shop with correct parts and documented intervals does not void a factory warranty. We keep records specifically so you have the paperwork if it is ever questioned.
Diagnostics are quoted up front, then the repair is quoted separately once we know the actual cause. Nothing extra happens without your approval — if a job turns up something unexpected we stop and call you.
OE or OE-equivalent for most jobs, with the reasoning explained. Where an aftermarket part is genuinely better — and on some of these platforms it is — we will say so and let you choose.
Most maintenance is same day or next day. Bigger jobs get a date when we quote them, and you get a call if anything changes rather than silence.
Absolutely, and plenty of people do. Bring us the other shop's quote and we will tell you honestly whether we would do the same work.
